"Zombieland" was originally written as a TV pilot, and this sh ows in the film's execution. While "Shaun of the Dead" is clearly the better film, "Zombieland" stands as a solid horror-comedy. Both films take the traditional zombie horror genre and inject a healthy bit of absurdist comedy.
